Obituary for Mr. George F. Dondero Jr.
George F. Dondero, Jr., 70, of Naples, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015. He was born October 27, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Naples from the Bronx, NY in 2004.
He retired as an Electrician and was a fifty year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 3 and Chairman of the SWFL Gulf Coast Chapter, Local 3, I.B.E.W. Retirees Association. He was Right Worshipful Past Master of Harry S. Truman Masonic Lodge #1066, F. & A.M, a member of Araba Shriners; President of the Naples Shrine Club, Past President of Bonita Shrine Club, Past Camaxtli of La Ciudad De Palmas, No. 118 of the Order of Quetzalcoatl, See of North America. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
George is survived by his wife of 16 years, Meredith A. Dondero; his step-daughter, Deborah Ann Tighe an her husband, Michael of Brewster, NY; his step grandchildren: Jenna Ann Feretti and Valerie Ann Feretti; his siblings: Walter Dondero (Linda), Michael Dondero and Pattie Dondero Ganz. He leaves behind his beloved kitties: Whitey, Blacky and Beauty.
Masonic memorial rites will be conducted at 11:30 AM Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
