Dobbs, Jr., seaman, USCG, son of Mr. And Mrs. Thomas H. Dobbs of 2208 10th Ave, Phenix City. Dobbs enlisted in the Coast Guard in Jan. 1952, and received recruit training at the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center, Cape May, N.J. Before entering the service Dobbs was graduated from Central High School, Phenix City. The Vance is assigned to the Commander of the Search and Rescue Group based at Sangley Point here.
