Hi my name is Lisa Gallinoto D'Adamo.
I spent a lot of time today on your webpage and wanted to thank you for all the information and photos.
My parents are with the Lord now and so enjoyed the USS Vance 387 reunions.
So proud of my Dad, Joseph Gallinoto, and our WWII military family, and wanted to thank you so very much for your page.
So beautiful to look at the "Greatest Generation" and remember them with honor.

Lisa, this mail has brought tears.
Only met your dad a few times but he was a heck of a guy. At the reunion in Albany I was speaking at the banquet.
Joe handed me a note. Because I was having trouble saying his name.
It read like this Gal E Not o.
I have to ask if you can send me any obituary information?
I post this to the website for the shipmates to see.
I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. I do hope you and the family are well.

Joseph,
Now I am the one with tears in my eyes. My Dad was an amazing, humble man who loved God, family, and country. I am very blessed to be his daughter through all of eternity. I will send you the information and also if there are any other pictures from the reunions please let me know. I saw one where he accepted the flag that was very blurry but wish I could get a clearer copy. To you and your family, I say
Thank you and God bless you!
Lisa
Joe, I looked through the website and then started searching.
I found a treasure on youtube! "2002 USS Vance Reunion" and watched it over and over.
My Dad took a video and I got to see my parents and all of you. And yes he went up and gave the flag to you.
I am telling you today as we celebrate the 4th of July I feel God gave me this beautiful gift.
I do not know if you are on Facebook but if you are please send me a friend request.
Again, thank you for your service and for your kindness.
I actually have many of his service pictures from 1944-1945 and will have to upload them.
Lisa
