This information supplied by Bill Wilder Gerald Applegate, was OIC of the CG detachment at Green Cove Springs Reserve fleet where the 12 or 13 DE's were recommisioned in 1951/52. He was then assigned to the Vance as commanding officer after we reached Hawaii.
