1. When in all respects phase BAKER of the inactivation program has been completed, on or about 3 April 1954, you are hereby directed to decommission the USCGC VANCE (WDE-487) as a cutter of the United States Coast Guard.
2. Upon decommissioning, you are further directed to transfer custody of the VANCE to the Commander, San Diego Group, Pacific Reserve Fleet, U. S. Navy.
3. Effective upon decommissioning, the designation of Honolulu, T.H. as a permanent station for the VANCE is terminated.
