Reasons for reading about the Vance= Served aboard
Comments= I spent most of my enlistment on the USS Durant DER 389 but moved to the Vance in '62.
I was on the Vance for a short time, ( 5 months) in late 1962. I was a RD2 at the time, and was waiting to be separated from the Navy. I spent most of my enlistment on the Durant, (DER-389).
The OI division from the '60's Durant just held their first reunion last month. It was very good and all had a good time.
