Comments= I was an aerographer. If I remember it was just before the fram mod. It was while the boat was out of Pearl. I was on the Vance almost 2 years. I was the only airdale (AG2), we were out of Pearl the whole time. I remember lots of funny stories. We had a chief bosun named Yea. He was so big he couldn't hardly go down any where below decks. He tried to teach me how to steer the ship. I was all over the Pacific. It drove them nuts. They really didn't know what to do with me. I remember more as time goes by.
