Sadly, he passed away in April. I would enjoy any stories about my uncle.
Since I also served in the Navy I am sure there are some stories to tell. Thanks again for the website. Hi Shawn, Your Uncle, Ken Bebee, and I were in the same Division on the Vance. I remember him well and was there the day he got his Petty Officer 1st Class stripes. I am saddened to learn of his passing on and will add his name to those for whom TAPS has sounded.
