Was the CAPT really as bad as Generous suggests?
I was an enlisted Marine prior to my Army commission and I actually ended up retiring as an O3 Captain. From what I am reading about the atmosphere in the wardroom - pretty toxic - and an unbelievably bad example for other ranks - from what I read - if the ship functioned at all it was the Chiefs holding it together . . . Also - there is an Edsel Class DE as a museum ship in Galveston - I have been aboard her - pretty neat ship - pretty cramped quarters . . . Cheers, Keith Drop Keith a note about your experience. Joe |
