0830 - All hands to quarters aft.
Sideboys man the Gangway. "O" Division stand by the colors. 0850 - Arrival of CAPT A. B. DICKIE, USN, Commander, Sub-Group ONE, San Diego Group, PACRESFLT, and official guests. 0900 - Ceremony commences. Commanding Officer reads his orders and pronounces the ship decommissioned. All hands and guests face forward, and the Commanding Officer orders the colors (Jack, C.G. Ensign, Commissioned Pennant) hauled down. 0905 - Commanding Officer turns over vessel to CAPT DICKIE. CAPT DICKIE reads his orders and accepts the ship. The watch is ordered relieved by CAPT DICKIE. 0910 - Completion of ceremony All hands remain at quarters until departure of CAPT DICKIE and official guests. |
